2026 — the deal behind the Forum
The Forum exists because of what came into force on 15 July 2026 — and what it means for the people building across this corridor.
The India–UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) is one of the most significant trade deals either country has signed in years, spanning 30 chapters from tariffs and rules of origin to services, government procurement, digital trade and professional mobility. It lowers duties on the majority of goods traded between the two nations, opens new ground in IT and business services and introduces a Double Contributions Convention that removes duplicate social-security costs for professionals working across borders. The UK–INDIA CEO Forum was founded to help founders, corporates and policy-minded investors turn that access into real partnerships — starting with our Delhi–NCR launch chapter.
We’re not a trade body and we don’t replace one. We’re the room where the people who have to make CETA work in practice—on shop floors, in boardrooms and at the negotiating table—can meet, compare notes and move faster than the paperwork.
